This course introduces the fundamentals of video as a medium for creative expression and communication. Students learn the essentials of shooting, lighting, sound, and editing through a series of short projects designed to build confidence and experimentation. In addition to developing technical and aesthetic skills, students are encouraged to explore how moving images shape and reflect contemporary life—from personal storytelling to social media and video art. Through screenings, discussions, and hands-on production, the course emphasizes curiosity, play, and the development of each student's unique visual voice.

Video Making II: Expanding Ideas and Contexts in Video
Building on the foundation of Video I, this course supports students in creating more focused and conceptually rich video projects. Students deepen their understanding of visual storytelling, editing, and sound, while exploring how video operates across different contexts—from online platforms to galleries and public spaces. While production will focus on single-channel works, the course introduces students to expanded practices such as multi-screen, installation, and performance-based video through examples, readings, and visiting artists. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, clarity of intention, and critical reflection.
